Shellstone
Shellstone (or mother-of-pearl) is an organic gem that develops from the protective layers of calcium carbonate lining the inside of the pearl oyster shell. It takes almost ten years to form, and it produces iridescent colors by reflecting light off the various layers of the shell. Shellstone countertops are built by combining large panels of mother-of-pearl and taking full advantage of the natural beauty.
